I submitted a ticket and got a response, which I figured I'd share with anyone else encountering this particular issue. If images aren't showing, clearing the cache or hard refreshing (ctrl/cmd + F5) will get them to show up again. It sounds like the devs are working on some stuff behind the scenes, so hopefully all will be well soon.

I just learned that the reason my giant fanfic posts weren't cross-posting to LiveJournal is because they're too big. 8D I didn't realize LJ had such a limit.... I'm very glad DW allows for longer posts. ^^"

I updated my Profile with this info, but I now have an Access list! I don't think I'll be using it all that often to be honest, but sometimes that middle zone between public and private is nice. You know, I can’t say I’m all that impressed with how LiveJournal has dealt with their security breach. Apparently, this happened all the way back in 2012 and they’re only bringing it up now because Dreamwidth announced it?
